  • 1 lb lean ground beef or turkey
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic in a skillet over medium heat until fragrant (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Add ground beef or turkey to the skillet; cook until browned, then drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning; simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Layer half of the zucchini in the baking dish, followed by half of the meat mixture and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
