  • Food coloring (red, yellow, green, blue, purple)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease three 8-inch round baking pans and line with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the cake flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gradually add this mixture to the dry ingredients while stirring gently until just combined.
  4. Divide the batter evenly into six bowls. Add different food coloring to each bowl to create vibrant colors.
  5. Pour each colored batter into its prepared pan and bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let them cool completely before removing from pans.
  6. Assemble the cake by placing one layer on a serving platter and generously spreading buttercream frosting on top. Repeat with remaining layers and frost the entire cake.
