  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk (or almond milk)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: powdered sugar for glazing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon.
  3. Beat in softened butter until combined. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and melted butter for the crumb topping.
  5. Layer half of the batter in the prepared dish. Sprinkle half of the crumb topping over it, then add the remaining batter followed by more topping; swirl gently with a knife.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before serving.
