Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix oil, eggs, mashed bananas, and crushed pineapple until well combined.
  4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Stir in nuts if using.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool the cakes in pans for about 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
