  • 4 bone-in chicken thighs (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 1/3 cup raw honey
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: sesame seeds or chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse chicken thighs under cold water and pat dry. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a bowl, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, and lemon juice until smooth.
  3. Place the chicken in a resealable bag or shallow dish, pour the marinade over it, seal tightly, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight).
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). In an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Once hot, sear chicken thighs skin-side down for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
  5. Flip the chicken over, pour remaining marinade on top, and transfer the skillet to the oven. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until juices run clear.
  6. For added glaze, broil on high for 2-3 minutes after baking (watch carefully).
