Description

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 4 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz melted white chocolate
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs with milk and melted butter until well mixed. Combine with dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
  4. Fold in vanilla extract and dark chocolate chips gently.
  5. Divide the batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  7. Beat heavy cream with melted white chocolate until fluffy for frosting.
  8. Assemble the cake by layering frosting between the cooled cake layers and covering the top and sides.
