- 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic. Set aside sliced mushrooms.
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce until combined. Form into oval-shaped patties about ½ inch thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear patties until browned on both sides (about 4 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté mushrooms until golden brown. Add beef broth and soy sauce, scraping up any browned bits.
- Return the patties to the skillet and simmer in gravy for 10-15 minutes.
